|Juliana Tsai (aka Dr. Jul) is a leader and professor of strategy and analytics. She began her journey to the United States as an international student and has established a professional career in business and technology. Dr. Jul has 15+ years of leadership experience in analytics, product, engineering and consulting at Fortune 500 and mid-sized organizations including Oracle, eBay, Boingo Wireless and Dine Brands Global (Applebee’s and IHOP). During her career, she has worked globally in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Dr. Jul holds a PhD in Information Systems from Arizona State University, an MBA from the University of Nevada-Reno and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University. She is presently an Adjunct Professor teaching strategy and analytics for Peabody College, Vanderbilt University. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor for the W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University and the Graziadio School of Business and Management, Pepperdine University, where she has published research in premier journals and taught courses on IT strategy, information management and business analytics. Dr. Jul is passionate about education and developing young people, whether they are her team members, students or mentees.
Aside from her professional career, Dr. Jul also has a great love for real estate and acquired her first property in the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 24. Since then, she has founded a real estate company with residential real estate holdings in multiple states. She enjoys finding great investment properties. Dr. Jul believes that to accomplish one’s goals in life, you simply need to bring passion, build strong relationships and be action-oriented and an analytical decision-maker.
Dr. Jul is a Type A. That is A for Analytical! Living in the Digital/Information Age, Dr. Jul has applied data-driven decision making to numerous aspects of her life. She embraces being a Type A and navigates life by continuously asking questions and taking actions based on insights gathered. Knowledge is power! Her mission is to show young adults how they too can apply analytical thinking to achieve Personal Growth, Professional Success and Financial Independence.
